A Waiting Game

accepted1My posting re: grad school has been lax lately; however, short of spending time reading articles by the professors I hope to work with and books relevant to the path of study I want to take, there has been no news. Deadline #1 for applications was on December 1st, this deadline was pertinent to UVA (the most difficult of the six schools to get in to and the closest to home). Deadlines 2 and 3 fall on December 15th. All of my applications have been received in full and so all I can do from this point is wait. The waiting is bearable only when I occupy myself with ‘other things’. When I log on to UVA’s website knowing full well that my application will not yet be reviewed and that no result is in I still get butterflies in my stomach. I am prepared neither to see the words “denied” or “accepted” but for now I will see neither while I wait. I don’t remember waiting for acceptance to undergrad being so nerve wracking…

Sometimes, the waiting part,(at least for me) is the hardest. I am not the most patient person-maybe that has something to do with it 😉 Best of luck to you

Grad school…AWESOME, okay what are you studying then since I am way out of the loop on that. Crossing my fingers for you…I still have to take my LSAT’s to even think about law school. OY…you will get accepted and I can’t wait to see your post on that!

😀 You are so sweet and never fail to make me smile (I will be by tonight to check out your mingle since family is running rampant atm lol).
I am going to grad school for my PhD in psychology and law aka forensic psychology. My best friend Queen Bee has been thinking about taking the LSAT’s too, I say both of you go for it!
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for acceptances too 😀 It will be a wonderous day at my house!

You just have to hang in there! I think it’s great that you are applying to Grad school. I wish I had the time for that in my life right now. You just have to play the waiting game at this point. Please keep us updated on what is going on with this. You should be proud of yourself no matter what happens. Think the best! Even if you are not accepted, there are going to be plenty of other avenues of approach and opportunities. Thanks for posting with us.

Thank you Heidi! I am proud that I went back to refresh courses this past summer and took the GRE, that in itself was a task for me! I can’t wait to start hearing from schools and I’ll be sure to let everyone know right here when I do!
