Beware the Ham

toxicWe picked up a ham to eat the night that brother B and his lady arrived, so we bought it on Saturday. Last night everyone opted for shrimp and salmon for dinner and being that I don’t eat either I made myself a ham sandwich. Had I known then what I know now I would have been much happier having grabbed a Poptart or going hungry.

Without going in to great detail I can tell you that this morning my body is exhausted, my belly feels like I imbibed about ten gallons of lager last night, my ribs ache and my rear end feels like I have been kicked multiple times by a very angry donkey. Food poisoning stinks and I most definitely need a nap.

    Here’s a recipe that will calm down your insides and get you back to regular: Spray a large glass pan with nonstick, preheat oven to 325. Spoon 1 cup of cooked ( Very thick) cream of wheat or Grits evenly in pan, spoon in 1/2 cup cooked diced potato, add 8 ounces of shredded cheese, distribute evenly.
    add paprika, onion powder, parsley flakes, any other seasoning. Beat 12 eggs until frothy, pour ontop of cheese. Bake this for about 40 minutes or until eggs are set. Makes 8 generous servings and it freezes well, too.

      Thank you so much Cindy, I got through yesterday on just bread but will definitely give this a shot when my egg friendly better half gets ill.
