I will preface by saying that I want to look nothing like the girl to the left. I did, however, spend a little time today laying out and getting a tan. I can honestly tell you – and if you watch my Monday Mingles you know – that I am as white as the background to this post. So today I decided to turn off my brain, lather up in high SPF suntan lotion and lay out for a while with my book in hand. While I have never particularly enjoyed laying out in the sun and doing nothing but sweating it out, today I did enjoy a little quiet time with my book. I can’t say definitively whether I actually achieved some sort of tan yet but come sundown (according to my mum) we will know if mission suntan has been successful.
