I have always had a passion for movies, not your flashy, action packed movies but I love old movies, classic movies…I’m an old soul born decades too late. Lately though I have found asylum from daily life in foreign film, particularly French film. My intrigue began as a way to brush up on the French which is locked away in my long term memory but after discovering Audrey Tautou I just can’t wait to see more.
You may know Audrey Tautou from The DaVinci code where she played the last living direct relative of Christ but if you have an interest in foreign film you might want to check out some more of Audrey’s films. This weekend I saw Priceless (my favorite of Audrey’s films) and He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not (somewhat akin to Fatal Attraction). Not only is Audrey absolutely gorgeous but she is also extremely talented as an actress.
Following the “people who liked this movie also liked” link I found The Closet today and found it particularly funny, although it is an acquired taste. Tonight; however, I am exercising the English portion of the brain and watching Is Anybody There? with Michael Caine, another of my favorite actors and so far it’s entertaining but I have no verdict on the actual storyline yet.
So the weekend is officially upon us and today, even though I’ve been working on and off, I am taking the time to let the stress go and sink in to my favorite stress release – movie time. I suggest you try it yourself if you are so inclined because it’s a great way to let go of it all for a little while and just relax.
