What Time???!!!


treadmillBuzz informed me last night that he had a meeting at 9am which threw off my plan for the gym. Instead of throwing a hissy fit over it – I’m a big girl now you know and it’s not exactly a grown up thing to do…plus it tends to really irk the person you are directing your fit at – I set my alarm for 5:45am and…wait for it…I GOT UP. I stumbled around in the dark, I got in to my gym clothes and by 6:30 I was on my way to the gym. I was on that treadmill before it was even 7am and it felt GOOD. I love my workouts, I mean I don’t but I do. I have a feeling that when people say they love to workout the majority of them mean it in the way that I do. Working out makes me feel good and I love that feeling. I do not, however, love gasping for breath, sweating, aching or generally looking like an idiot running and never actually getting anywhere. So I ran and walked in intervals for just over three miles, not much but enough to start my pilgrimage back to the gym. By the time 9 AM rolled around this morning I had successfully 1) hit the gym 2) set up a vet appointment for tomorrow for “the bump” 3) walked the dog 4) showered 5) woken Buzz up for his appointment (although this is really part of #4 we all know that more numbers is always better) 6) fed my fur kid 7) ate my incredibly delicious Blueberry Special K cereal (100 calories in 3/4 cup you know ladies!). I also weighed in at the gym and proved those scales in the Publix grocery store wrong, I managed to lose weight in the three months when I hit the gym just twice. Now I am settling in to my brand new desk – which absolutely rocks my socks off, and I am getting started on work!
