Monday Mingle – March 8, 2010

Monday Mingle

It’s Monday again which means only one thing! It’s time for Monday Mingle! If you want to get in on the mingling fun drop by Jen’s blog over at EightyMPHMom.com !

This week’s questions were:

1.  Do your kids have chores? Do you pay them to do chores?
2.  Were you in Girl Scouts/Brownies or Boy Scouts? Are your kids? Favorite Girl Scout Cookie?
3. Does your family go camping? If so, do you have a funny/interesting experience?

I did a Sunday-Monday Mingle too. Oh, I hope you get some good news with regards to your schooling this week . . .

Hey, I think I was a Sprite in Brownies too. I think the Canadian program is the same as the one in England, if I remember correctly. I’m pretty sure it’s different from the US program.

Ewwww . . . holes in the floor for toilets.

I hope you have a better week!!

Thank you for the good news hopes Nicole, I know that you know how crazy this process is!

      Hurrah for Sprites! LOL

The toilets in France used to be the absolute most disgusting thing in the entire universe, thank God they kept up with the times though and now have real toilets!

I’m sorry about the schools – sending good vibes your way, keep us informed!
We have something in common, Amy – someone ticked me off this week too – wait, it was actually quite a few people. LOL
I want to try those Somoa’s – everyone is talking about them!

I love France too…even Camping in France sounds appealing to me. I must need a vacation! LOL

    Have a great week, Amy!

    Hello again beautiful.

That totally sucks about the rejection and taking such a long time with it. I hope the other two are something for joy.

Maybe I should go read your rant 🙂

I wouldn’t want to wear that poop scoop hat either!

Isn’t it annoying that everything is so politically correct!

I’d love to go camping I think, but I am not sure I want to go to disgusting but I love the idea of out in the woods , near a river, fishing , cooking on rocks (not foreign to me) but I think I’d rather an RV , like Jen.

Your camping in France sounds really nice too. And another thing, I’d rather have gone to camp as a kid and not as a mother with kids. 🙂

I hope your week turns out a whole lot jollier love.

    *HUGS*

I am of the mind frame that the rejections were for a reason and am I to end up somewhere I will find a place, it’s all about moving forward 🙂

I think I’d rather RV camp too LOL

Sorry that you’ve not been having a good run with your schooling. It can be really discouraging, but it sounds like you’re keeping a good outlook and not letting it get you down. That’s good.
    Thanks for sharing your mingle.
    There’s nothing wrong with RV “camping”…… 😉

There is nothing we can do but have a positive outlook really, I mean what will being negative really bring to the table? 😀

    Amy says:

    Hi Amy!
Always glad to know another Amy, and one from NC (for now). I am so sorry about the bad news from school, I hope you get good news this week!
Would have been seriously scarred by hole in the floor bathrooms, but strolling to the boulangerie for fresh baguettes and cream sounds heavenly.
Glad to meet you, and good thoughts to you this week!!!
    Amy

    • Amy says:

I’m hoping for good news too!

Those holes in the floor STILL haunt me when I think about them, it makes me feel ill LOL

    Queen Bee says:

At first, I didn’t like the Monday Mingle but now I really do… even though I get to it on Tuesday, lol.

    1. Do your kids have chores? Do you pay them to do chores?
    — She is only 4 so no “chores” yet. We just started a reward calendar for ‘good notes’ from school to encourage her to listen. Smart kids tend to act up when bored, lol. This will probably morph into chores, as I’m starting to push her more and more to clean up after herself and she is complying well.

    2. Were you in Girl Scouts/Brownies or Boy Scouts? Are your kids? Favorite Girl Scout Cookie?
    — I was a Daisy and then a Brownie. She isn’t yet but I want to get her involved in *something*. I think I’d rather get her into soccer. I don’t want to sell cookies. I AM LAZY!! haha

    3. Does your family go camping? If so, do you have a funny/interesting experience?
    — If by camping, you mean hauling my family’s “portable hotel suite” camper to the beach. Kitchen, bathroom, radio, cable tv, a/c…. lol. I have slept in a tent a time or two though and really do enjoy it, but I’ve always been near a house or a bathhouse, so I never had to deal without showers or toilets. I am NOT a wilderness girl! haha

    Karie says:

They kicked you out?! HA HA You trouble maker you. Oh the chores are a bore…where is the maid when you need one. I could see you RV’ing it…you can tell you are British that way. We are truly the wild wild west as Americans. LOL (HUGS) my friend I totally miss you.

OMG there is a Samoa ice cream!? I have to find some. Yay for warmer weather for you.
