Oh Dear…

ChairsIn the words of Homer Simpson (copyrighted to Fox and not affiliated with me or my blog in any way), DOH! After driving an hour and a half to go to the “Super Flea Market” that occurs only once a month in Greensboro, we were sorely disappointed. Seriously there were all of maybe fifteen tables all filled with…well, crap. I’m talking things that I would throw away. We asked a man at the “Super Flea Market Information Desk” if there was any more to the market that we weren’t seeing. He looked puzzled and told us no, this was it. I felt duped. We have a flea market at our fairgrounds, all of five minutes from our house that is at least triple the size of the one we saw today and we don’t have to drive an hour and a half to get there! The good news, however, is that my best friend (Queen Bee) lives just a few minutes away from where we were so we dropped in for a surprise lunch date with her and Baby Bee. We ate at Cici’s pizza buffet and then I accompanied Baby Bee in to the game room where we spent way more quarters than I was supposed to give her on cheap plastic toys. We had tons of fun and then headed back to Queen Bees house to chat a bit…only I ended up playing jungle gym to Baby Bee – have I told you how much I LOVE that kid? So we turned a rather crappy day in to a fun day and made the most of our trip. I tell you what though, I’ll never EVER go to that “Super Flea Market” again!
